Not a single building in Kensington made the DeBlasio’s Worst NYC’s landlord  list this year. Not a single building in Borough Park either.

So what differentiates a standard-issue non-responsive landlord from a watch list-level negligent landlord? According to the site:

For a landlord to be added to the Watch List, they must own a building with fewer than 35 units with an average of at least three open, serious violations (B and C violations) per unit. Larger buildings must have an average of at least two open, serious violations (B and C violations) per unit.

A class B violation is one that’s hazardous, but probably not leading toward imminent doom: inadequate lighting, public doors that don’t automatically close, thriving vermin, etc.

A class C violation is more immediately dangerous: inadequate fire exits, rodents, lead-based paint, lack of heat, hot water, electricity, or gas.

Are you kidding me?? Not a single building in Borough Park? just tell me who should I called to give them the address. I am in the process of helping 2 families that are in the process of eviction because of a bad and miserable landlords that refused to fix the apartments, even after a young child was bite by a rat and got a bad infection, and all this because the renters call the city to investigate. According to the complain the landlord told the people that he has money and he is Jewish so he can by everyone including the judge, and I guess he is right because the judge dint even allow the people to talk and order them to get out in less then 30 days, now keep in mine that these family has all the records from the investigators, picture and records from the doctors, but yet, they have to move out. Another family after leaving in the same apartment for more then 16 years and just because they ask the landlord to fix the apartment, he got mad and threat them to get them out with the police and wants 20,000 dollars for compensation and all because this families are afraid and speak very little English. So, Please tell that guy that he should be doing a better job investigating or may be he got some money too. If you need more info, just email me and I will give the exact address of this animals, miserable thief s.

This is a pretty insane map. Are there specific inspectors assigned to this area who are just phoning it in??
